The service we provide
The Trash Fairies provides a weekly curbside can roll-out and return service. We roll your city trash cans from their usual spot to the curb before your scheduled city pickup and return them after pickup. We do not collect, transport, or dispose of household trash — that is performed by your municipal waste collection service.
The Trash Fairies is an independent local business and is not affiliated with the City of Memphis or any municipal waste collection agency.
Access and account information
- Service depends on reasonable access to your trash cans. You are responsible for keeping your address, contact information, pickup day, and any gate/access instructions accurate and up to date.
- If we cannot access your cans on a scheduled service day, we may skip that visit without a refund for that visit.
Founding Fairy rate and billing
- Reserving a Founding Fairy spot saves your payment method — it does not charge you today.
- Billing begins only after your route officially launches and we have notified you of your confirmed service start date.
- The Founding Fairy rate is $8.99 per month and remains locked in while your membership remains active.
- Paused or cancelled memberships may be subject to then-current pricing if reactivated, unless otherwise stated.
Pausing and cancelling
You may pause your membership at any time and resume when you're ready. You may cancel your membership at any time. There are no long-term contracts and no cancellation fees.
Service reliability
Service may be affected by severe weather, city trash-collection delays, inaccessible trash cans, road closures, emergencies, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Communications
By enrolling, you consent to receive service-related communications (email and, if you opt in, SMS). Promotional messages are optional and require a separate opt-in.
