This page is maintained by The Trash Fairies to explain how we handle the information you share when you check your address, reserve a Founding Fairy spot, or join the neighborhood waitlist.

What we collect

Contact information: name, email, mobile phone number.
Service address, standardized location, and geographic coordinates used only for eligibility and route planning.
Service details: trash pickup day, number of cans, can location, gate/access instructions, and any notes you provide.
Consent choices for service (transactional) and optional promotional SMS messages.
When you save a payment method, the payment processor (Stripe) stores your card details. We only retain a reference (token) — never the raw card number, expiration, or CVC.

How we use it

To determine whether your address is inside an active service route.
To operate your Trash Fairies membership: schedule roll-outs, coordinate access, and communicate service updates.
To send service-related text messages you've consented to receive (route launch confirmation, start date, access issues).
To identify neighborhoods with strong demand for future expansion.

Who we share it with

Payment processing (Stripe) — for storing payment methods and processing recurring $8.99 monthly membership charges after your route launches.
Address verification (Google Maps) — for standardizing addresses and geocoding.
Communication tools we use to send transactional email and SMS.

We do not sell your personal information.

Sensitive access information

Gate codes and access instructions are stored securely and used only to complete your Trash Fairies service. They are not returned to public pages and are visible only to authorized operators.

Your choices

You may pause or cancel your membership at any time.
You may opt out of optional promotional messages while continuing to receive necessary service updates.
